The Rainbow Warriors

Sometimes we always underestimate the film that made by our country. We did not want to see the film or sometimes we often judge the film before we saw that. It happens because, maybe Indonesian movie has a monotonous plot or story that the producer was created. But now we are going to share about Indonesian movie which adapted from popular novel where it's got awards too.

Yeay, Laskar Pelangi! This film is adapted from popular novel which has the same title and that novel is written by Andrea Hirata. Actually this film is telling about 10 warriors-children who are studying on one of elementary school on Belitung where is the east cost of Sumatra. They are struggle for their school because it is threatening to be close if the students are not reach  until 10 students. But the end of this film, because the sacrifices for their teachers and struggle by them self, this school can be maintained and they can study in there anytime they want.

Because this film has an unusual story, it makes this film got a lot of award. Start with the Best Film that they got on Bandung Festival Film 2009, Best Film on Indonesia Festival Film 2009, Nomination for Best Film and Best Editor on Asia Film award 2009 until the 3rd place on Audience Award 11th Udine Far East International Film Festival, Italy 2009. It proves that actually we do not necessary to feel shame with film that made by our country.
